Business Unlimited’s Extraordinary Impact on Our Local Community Throughout the Covid-19 Pandemic
About Us | By Northland Communications Team
Two years ago this March, the country began a ‘two-week’ lockdown in an effort to curb the effects of the looming Covid-19 outbreak. Little did we know at that time, the two-week lockdown would transition into two years and counting of the nation trying to keep Covid-19 under control.
It’s no secret that the pandemic has been challenging in many ways—from missing out on quality time with friends and family, to the stress of heightened concerns surrounding politics, education, the economy, and last but not the least of which, health. Perhaps one of the most challenging obstacles was the one faced by small, medium, and large organizations alike: how to continue business operations effectively while working from home.
Locally, businesses felt this exact stressor throughout Central New York and the Mohawk Valley. Enter, Northland Communications, owned and operated by the McCarthy Family.
When the lockdown began, the McCarthy Family knew that their third-generation, family-owned telecommunications company needed to help our community, just as they have done since 1905. Northland Communications already had the latest cloud-communication technology as well as the right products and solutions for staying connected and working anywhere.
The Northland team rallied together and offered businesses throughout our community the tools and platforms they needed to continue their operations while working remotely, completely free of charge.
Northland’s Business Unlimited solution helped organizations in our community adapt to the new normal of working remotely from their home offices. Features like video conferencing, phone, chat, SMS, webinar capabilities, breakout rooms, and a mobile app had a huge impact on keeping everyone connected and giving them the ability to function successfully.
Without a solution like Business Unlimited by Northland Communications, or the McCarthy Family’s dedication to supporting our community, it may have been even more challenging for businesses in our local area to collaborate amongst themselves while working remotely.
Combining top-tier technology and all-in-one solutions like Business Unlimited helped dozens of local organizations to continue their business communication between customers and employees from the safety of their own homes throughout the pandemic.
Ultimately, the global Covid-19 pandemic has not been easy for anyone to navigate, including those of us right here in Central New York and the Mohawk Valley. But one thing remains certain: for Northland Communications it has and always will be about creating quality connections throughout our community.
